Return & Refund Policy

Returns & Refunds: Faulty Products

We thoroughly test products before dispatch to ensure they are in working condition. If a product is found to be faulty, a repair, replacement, or refund may be provided in accordance with the applicable warranty terms.

Products Covered by Warranty: Please refer to our **Warranty Conditions** page for products covered under manufacturer or seller warranty.

Products Not Covered by Warranty: For products that do not carry a warranty, Techshop Lanka will provide a replacement or refund only if the item is received **dead on arrival (DOA), damaged during delivery, or if an incorrect product was supplied**.

  • Any such issue must be reported within **5 working days** from the date of delivery. Claims made after this period will not be accepted.
  • Customers are required to inspect products immediately upon receipt. Claims cannot be accepted for items that were left unopened, untested, or unused for an extended period before inspection.
  • To prevent fraudulent claims, Techshop Lanka may apply identification stickers, security labels, serial number records, batch number tracking, calibration records, or other verification methods to products. Returns, replacements, or refunds may be refused if these identifiers are missing, damaged, altered, or do not match our records.

Return Process:

  1. Techshop Lanka will arrange **one (1) courier collection attempt** for approved warranty or faulty product claims. Alternatively, customers may arrange and pay for courier delivery of the item to Techshop Lanka for inspection.
  2. All returned items are subject to inspection to verify product condition, security markings, serial numbers, batch numbers, calibration records, and warranty eligibility.
  3. Approved refunds will be processed via bank transfer and may take **1-2 business days** after inspection and approval.

Important Conditions

Returns, replacements, or refunds will not be approved if:

  1. The product is found to be functioning correctly.
  2. The claim relates solely to measurement accuracy (e.g., temperature meters, humidity meters, lux meters, or similar instruments) without supporting evidence.
  3. Customers must provide comparison results against a valid, calibrated reference instrument.
  4. The product has been damaged due to misuse, negligence, improper handling, accidents, environmental exposure, or unauthorized modifications.
  5. Security labels, identification stickers, serial numbers, warranty seals, calibration certificates, or other verification markings are missing, damaged, altered, or do not match our records.
  6. The returned item does not match the product originally supplied by Techshop Lanka.

If a claim is rejected after inspection, the customer will be required to collect the item from our office or pay the applicable courier charges for re-delivery.

Techshop Lanka reserves the right to reject any claim that does not comply with the above conditions.
