Limited Warranty Conditions
Warranty Coverage
- Warranty periods vary by product and may be 30 days, 3 months, 6 months, or no warranty, as specified on the product page or invoice.
- The warranty period begins on the date of purchase.
- Warranty claims require the product to be returned to our office in Homagama for inspection.
- Products are covered against manufacturing defects, assembly faults, and defective components occurring during normal use.
- During the warranty period, eligible products will be repaired or replaced (at our discretion) at no charge if the fault is determined to be covered under warranty.
- Warranty coverage does not include batteries unless explicitly stated otherwise.
Warranty Exclusions:
The warranty shall be void and no free repair, replacement, or refund will be provided if:
- The product has been used contrary to the instructions, warnings, or conditions stated in the user manual.
- The product has been opened, modified, repaired, tampered with, or had its firmware updated by an unauthorized person.
- The product has been operated using an incorrect voltage, faulty electrical installation, or unsuitable power source.
- The serial number, security label, warranty seal, or identification markings have been removed, altered, or damaged.
- The product has suffered physical damage, including drops, impacts, cracks, scratches, dents, liquid damage, corrosion, or misuse while in the customer's possession.
- Damage results from the use of incompatible accessories, third-party devices, or unauthorized services.
- Damage is caused by natural events or disasters including, but not limited to, fire, lightning, flooding, earthquakes, power surges, or other acts of nature.
- The fault relates solely to normal wear and tear or consumable components.
Calibration Disclaimer: Unless otherwise stated, warranty coverage does not include calibration services or re-calibration costs after the initial factory calibration.
This applies to, but is not limited to: Thermometers, pH Meters, TDS Meters, EC Meters, EMF Meters, Salinity Meters, Infrared Thermometers, Other measuring instruments requiring periodic calibration
Any future calibration, verification, or certification costs shall be the responsibility of the customer.
Product-Specific Warranty Terms: The following brands are supplied with a 6-month warranty against manufacturing defects: UNI-T, MESTEK, Smart Sensor, Aneng, Shehe
The following product categories are supplied without warranty: Magnets, Batteries, Compass
Warranty Return Process
- Customers may arrange and pay for courier delivery of the product to Techshop Lanka for warranty inspection.
- Alternatively, Techshop Lanka may arrange one (1) courier collection attempt for approved warranty claims.
- All returned products are subject to inspection to verify product condition, serial numbers, security markings, batch numbers, calibration records, and warranty eligibility.
- If a product is confirmed to have a warranty-covered fault, it will be repaired, replaced, or refunded at Techshop Lanka's discretion.
- Approved refunds will be issued via bank transfer within 1-3 business days after inspection and approval.
Important Conditions
- All products are tested and verified to be in working condition before dispatch.
- If a returned product is found to be functioning correctly or the fault is not covered by warranty, no refund or replacement will be provided.
- In such cases, the customer will be required to collect the product from our office or pay the applicable courier charges for re-delivery.
- Techshop Lanka reserves the right to reject any warranty claim that does not comply with these warranty conditions.
